New members are very welcome at LifeBlood.
We invest in projects that make a significant difference in the lives of people here on the Atherton Tablelands.
Fellowship meetings every Saturday morning at 9am at Destiny Church, Atherton
Business / project meetings on Zoom every Wednesday evening at 7pm.
We like to distribute the workload on a one-man-one-job basis, where possible.
We encourage you to mosey on in, find your space and exercise your gift / skill-set / perspective and help make a difference.
"Every hour of planning saves ten hours of work, rework and cross communication."
There are nine elements to briefly consider for every project - big or small:
Project Charter - brief summary of why, what, when, where, who, how and how much
Stakeholders - who - managing the expectations of each group of interested people
Scope - what's included and what's not - sometimes staged
Schedule - when - and the resources required
Dollars - how much - budget vs actuals for each stage
Quality - how good - standards, testing, checklists and revisions
People - required skills, roles, responsibilities and reporting lines
Procurement - specifications, quotes, commitments, transport, receiving, storage and release
Communication & Change Management - keeping everyone informed
Training - project team and end-users
		Stakeholder engagement
		Celebrating milestones
	Risk Management -
Job Safety Assessment and Risk Mitigation
Work place health and safety + PPE
		Inspections and checklists
		Emergency procedures
		Incident reporting
Project Report Template -  Four Quadrants progress template
LifeBlood men love to make a difference in the community.
We organise our projects through an Incorporated Association called LifeBlood Australia. Some men are members, some are not, but we all work as volunteers. LifeBlood does not have Public Liability or Workers Compensation insurance.
We assume that we take the risks of personal injury and public liability on ourselves. We work on a best-endeavours basis AND our stakeholders, in each project, are made aware of that. In other words, they accept some of that risk.
SO, what does that mean in practice?
We carefully plan and carefully execute - looking out for risks that might affect our team mates, sponsors or members of the public.
LifeBlood Job Safety Analysis and Risk Mitigation Steps.
PLEASE:
bring your own personal protective equipment suitable to each job including, but not limited to: hard-hat, eye-wear, breathing-masks, ear-plugs, gloves, cotton shirts, cotton trousers, steel-cap boots, bunting, barriers and witches hats (where appropriate)
maintain your tools in good working order with current electrical tags
review the job safety analysis and risk mitigation steps for each project
participate in site safety briefings
keep an eye out for risks and keep your team members and stakeholders informed
A site-specific JSA table is produced for each project and is tabled in each project 'panel' below.
